Using Handbrake to Compress Video

Handbrake is a free tool that you can use to compress videos larger than 1 GB. With proper settings, it retains the quality while reducing the size.

Step 1: Once you download and install Handbrake, it will be available in all apps. Open Handbrake and select the video file(s) that you want to compress.

Step 2: Make sure that format is MP4 and the option selected is “Web Optimized”. Select the path where you want to save the video. Last, click on “Start Encode”. When finished, check the file properties. The size should reduce significantly.
