Introduction to Funnel Module

A funnel refers to the process of guiding potential customers through various stages, from first becoming aware of your brand to making a purchase. It typically involves steps like attracting leads by offering a free or a low paid offer, nurturing leads, and converting leads into paying customers.

To get started, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what you want to offer in your funnel. It can be a freebie or a paid offer with an upsell. Let’s explore some common funnels that are widely used.

Lead Magnet #

Purpose: #

To attract and capture potential leads by offering valuable content or incentives in exchange for contact information.

Structure: #

  1. Squeeze Page: A page where users can sign up and receive a freebie via email.
  2. Thank You Page: Confirm the email delivery and guide next steps.

This can be additionally extended into a tripwire offer. See the tripwire topic later in the document.

Video Series #

Purpose: #

To engage and educate potential leads through a series of videos, building trust and nurturing them towards a conversion.

Structure: #

  1. Squeeze Page: Opt in page to offer access to the video series.
  2. Thank You Page [Optional]: Confirm the action and provide additional instructions or offers.
  3. Video Series Page 1: Instead of showing Thank you page, you can redirect to a landing page, which will host the video/ You can deliver videos via email or immediately via a landing page. We recommend using email, because then you are showing it to only those who have entered a valid email.
  4. Video Series Page 2 [Optional]
  5. Video Series Page 3 [Optional]

This can continue into a sales funnel where you would redirect user to your sale page.

Live Webinar #

Purpose: #

To generate and nurture leads by hosting a live webinar, providing valuable information, and guiding attendees toward a conversion.

Structure: #

  1. Registration Page: Capture attendee sign-ups for the webinar. Same as Squeeze page.
  2. Thank You Page: Confirm registration and provide webinar dates.
  3. Live Webinar: Deliver the live presentation or event.
  4. Replay Page: Offer a replay of the webinar or additional resources.

The replay page as well as during the live webinar you can share the sales page of your offer.

Webinar [Automated Video] #

Purpose: #

To engage and convert leads by presenting a pre-recorded webinar as an automated video, offering value and guiding viewers toward a conversion.

Structure: #

  1. Registration Page: Capture sign-ups for the automated webinar. Same as squeeze page.
  2. Confirmation or Waiting Room Page: Confirms registration or if you choose to have users wait for 2 minutes, you can upload another video on the waiting room, engaging your users for 2 minutes, after which the user will be redirected to the main webinar page.
  3. Webinar Video: Deliver the pre-recorded webinar content with a call to action to visit sales page, which will have all the details of the offer.

Tripwire #

Purpose: To convert leads into paying customers with a low-cost offer. #

Structure: #

  1. Opt-In Page (Squeeze Page): Collects user details in exchange for a free resource.
  2. Tripwire Sales Page: Presents a low-ticket offer after opting in. If they decide not to purchase, redirect them to thank you page.
  3. Checkout Page: Leads to the final purchase.
  4. Thank You Page: Confirms purchase or simply adds instructions on what to expect next.

The best way to set up Tripwire in Enlitly is to start with a free lead magnet funnel and then continue into a sales funnel (Sales page >> Checkout >> Upsell [Optional] >> Thank you. To continue lead magnet funnel to sales funnel, you can either add new pages in your Lead Magnet funnel and attach the product to sell to the checkout block OR you can redirect the lead magnet opt in form directly to the product sales page (which automatically gets created in the product module whenever a product is added).

Note that there are different variations in which you can present a low cost offer instead of a freebie. For the sake of simplicity, lets called the latter as sales funnel.

Sales Funnel #

Purpose: To guide leads toward purchasing a primary product and then add potential one time offers. #

Structure: #

  1. Sales Page: Explains the product’s benefits, features, and price.
  2. Checkout Page: Facilitates the purchase.
  3. Upsell: Presents additional product to purchase at an exclusive one time offer (OTO). If user decides to not purchase the additional item, redirect them to thank you page [or to another offer downsell]
  4. Thank You Page: Confirms the order

VSL #

A VSL is simply a Video Sales Letter video. In this funnel, the user is first presented with a video and a call to action button which redirects to the checkout page. In simple words, the sales page is now converted into a single video. The idea is to present the sales page copy into a video. Its structure is same as sales page.
