Enlitly
Enlighten Minds with Enlitly!
In this video, I’ll show you how to write a simple email in Enlitly. Let’s say you don’t want to use the fancy templates we already have and just want to send a basic email with minimal HTML. Here’s how to do it.
First, I have a pre-written email from ChatGPT. I’ll copy this email and head over to the Enlitly dashboard. Go to Email, then Bulk Email, and add a new email here. By default, you’ll start in the new editor with access to fancy templates. But for a simple email, we’ll switch the editor.
Once in the simple editor, clear the source code, and click Save. Now, I’ll paste the email content I copied from ChatGPT. The first step is to ensure you’re using the right tags specific to Enlitly. Essential tags include the business address and unsubscribe link, which are important for compliance.
Next, let’s format the email. I’ll select all text, set the font to Arial, and the size to 12 points. Although it shows 12 points, double-check that this setting applies to all the text. Set the line height to 2 for better readability. If you have bullet points, remember to select them explicitly to apply the line height.
After verifying that links were copied correctly, adjust the business address and unsubscribe link to a smaller font, around 10 points, and change the color to grey to make them less prominent.
Now, I’ll copy the subject line from ChatGPT and paste it. Attach the email list—I’ll use a test list with my email for this demo. Save the email to ensure all changes are retained, and preview it in a browser to check the layout.
I’ll send a test email to confirm the format, and in my email account, I can see the test email. Note that tags won’t be replaced in the test email, as it’s for preview only. Now, let’s send the actual broadcast email. After sending, we’ll verify that all tags are correctly replaced, including the business address and unsubscribe link.
And that’s how you write a simple email in Enlitly! Let me know if you have any questions. In an upcoming video, I’ll explain why it’s essential to have your business email domain verified, as it can improve deliverability. Thanks for watching!
