Introduction to Product Module

The product module offers different types of products. The underlying structure of all product types is the same, but they offer different features according to the chosen type.

Course: A Course product is ideal when you want your content structured in Modules and Lessons. You can schedule modules as Drip, define a lesson as preview or compulsory, lock a lesson, add quizzes and assignments in the lessons, and enable discussions under each lesson. You can also enable a community that can sit right next to your Course.

The Course product type can be used for providing fixed content + community based Membership as well as for providing refreshed content each month, in modules and lessons format.

Membership: A Membership product is very similar to a Course product in terms of modules and lessons; however, the end-user view is completely different.

Similar to the Course product, the Membership product supports Drip and enabling the community option.

Unlike the Course product, the Membership product does not have the option to mark lessons as preview, compulsory, lock, or to add quizzes or assignments.

The Membership product also has a provision to upload an image at a module level and provide a description of each module. This module-level image and description are used in the end-user view, and is more visually appealing compared to a Course product.

Digital Files: Any digital content, such as eBooks, a bundle of PDFs, videos, audios, or business resources, can be sold with the Digital Files product type.

This product type doesn’t have advanced features like drip, quizzes, or assignments but is best suited for selling single or small bundles of content. It does not offer Modules & Lessons format.

Like Course & Membership product, this product can also be used for creating memberships, in which you will be providing weekly/monthly content alongside the community. Content can be kept fixed or can be refreshed every month.

Community: Although you can enable a community within each product, if you want to have a separate community for your business, this is the way to go. The Community in Enlitly has the following features:

a. Add discussion posts with images, videos, audios, or any downloadable attachments.

b. Send new post email notifications.

c. Mark important posts as announcements so they appear in the announcement tab.

d. Tag member names in comments using @name. This will notify the tagged member via email.

e. Add topics for easy searching of posts.

f. Add comments with images, videos, audios, or any downloadable attachments.

g. Like posts.

Coaching: The Coaching product is similar to the Digital Files product and allows you to embed your booking calendar link. You can use the same Coaching product for accepting payments for a single coaching session or a combined coaching program.

Live Webinar:The Live Webinar product allows you to embed your webinar instructions or pre-webinar content and automatically create email reminders for those who purchase the live webinar product.

Bundle: Combine one or more products into this Bundle product. A tiered membership can be created with a bundle, in which you can provide access to a few products in tier 1, next few products in Tier 2 and so on. The members can upgrade from tier 1 to tier 2 from their content dashboard.

Note: Product is best suited for offering paid content. Its possible to have a free product, and many creators use it to offer a free eBook or a free mini-course, but before you decide to add a free product, you may want to think through if you want to use a Funnel or a Product.
