Rachel's Story

"I was at my postpartum appointment at my doctor's office. I stepped on the scale and could not believe my eyes. I weighed over 200 pounds. The heaviest I had been in my life. I was in shock!!!

My doctor ran all the tests she could to rule out any medical conditions that could have caused this "sudden" weight gain.

Most mothers lose weight after childbirth, but I actually gained a lot of weight. In fact, I had gained over 67 pounds in a period of 10 months with a chunk of it after childbirth.

All the tests came back normal. My weight gain was due to "eating for two", and limited physical activity. At 214 pounds, I decided to draw a line in the sand and change my lifestyle...

I did not know where to start, but one of my friends agreed to hold me accountable and helped me start walking consistently. I joined the gym, hired a trainer, ate less, cut out some starchy foods, but this only worked short term.

I lost some weight but couldn't reach my weight goals or lose belly fat, The more I worked out, the hungrier I got and the more I ate. With my weight fluctuating from month to month, I was convinced my weight loss would be a lifelong challenge.

All this changed when I got on the ketogenic diet. I felt so good, I had more energy, increased mental focus, and slowly by slowly my belly fat melted away. I reached my weight goal and kept it off. I was so excited about the life transformation that I made Keto my lifestyle.
