Meet Margaret January, Freight Dispatch Trainer

 
Margaret helps others by teaching them to enter the transportation field and start their own dispatch business with her freight dispatch training.

Hear her story in her own words:

“I started my career in the transportation industry in 1996. After 20 years of working for the same company, I was very comfortable and figured I would retire from that company. But as we know....life happens.

On the morning of my 20th anniversary, I was given a party and a plaque for my 20 years of working with the company. That evening, I was laid off, my entire department was laid off! Talk about a roller-coaster of emotions!

After being laid off and being totally caught off guard by this change in my life, I knew I didn't want to work for another company. So I started my own!


I took the knowledge I gained from UPS and started Vision Dispatch Services.

I now not only dispatch for carriers but I have my own team of dispatchers. I took a step further and started teaching what I know. I help others enter the transportation field and start their own dispatch business as well.

I am forever grateful to UPS for the opportunity and the knowledge I gained while there. I am even more grateful to them for laying me off! It pushed me to be where I am today! ”
